Dr. Blaise Tardy is currently a research fellow at Aalto University. After his studies at the Swiss Federal Institute of Science and Technology (EPFL, Switzerland, 2009) in bioengineering, he obtained his Ph.D. in chemical and biomolecular engineering from The University of Melbourne (Australia, 2015). His research is dedicated to the formation of sustainable materials from biopolymers and bio-based particles as inspired from macromolecular and bio-colloidal interactions observed in biological structures. His current focus lies on the interfacial development of supramolecular interactions during consolidation of bio-based materials with the intent to connect fundamentals towards engineering parameters for the growing bio-based industries.
