Dr. Bar Mosevitzky Lis
Postdoctoral Research Associate, Lehigh University
Bar received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering under the mentorship of Prof. Gideon Grader and Dr. Gennady Shter at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. His dissertation research focused on the gas-phase reaction kinetics involved in the combustion of nitrogen-based fuels. After his Ph.D., Bar joined the Operando Spectroscopy research group at Lehigh University, working under Prof. Israel Wachs as a Postdoctoral Research Associate. There, he applies in situ and operando characterization techniques such as NAP-XPS, HS-LEIS, Raman, IR and TPSR to study the fundamental structure-acidity-activity-selectivity relationships of heterogenous metal oxide catalysts, and use this knowledge in the rational design of catalytic systems. In his free time, Bar enjoys reading and hiking around the US.
