Session: Successful Student Chapters:

TCU Chemistry Club has adapted to the pandemic by providing virtual opportunities that have strengthened community ties centered around a passion for chemistry. The recent year has allowed TCU chemistry club to redesign existing programs in a new light so that more members are involved in new ways. The science club for Burton Hill elementary students was revolutionized through take-home chemistry kits and recorded videos showcasing experiments creatively. For National Chemistry Week, TCU Chemistry Club participated in “the sticky” theme through student-designed experiments and videos that were shared on YouTube and Facebook for students and chemistry enthusiasts across the country. These programs and virtual chapter meetings, which have allowed the continuance of much needed social connections, will be described in more detail.
