I started my research career with Prof. Jon Whitmer at the University of Notre Dame using Molecular Dynamics (MD) simulations to study the phase behavior of complex coacervates. We also used coupled MD and Monte Carlo (MC) simulations to examine the cooperative charging behavior of weak polyelectrolytes. I joined the Ellison group in the Fall of 2018 and started working on a project focusing on the effects of processing conditions and additives on adhesion in multilayer films prepared via blown film extrusion. My current work focuses on reactive compatibilization of immiscible polymer blends for mechanical recycling. Outside the lab, I coach for the UMN Men's Rugby team.
