Anna completed her Nanoscience and Nanotechnology bachelor studies at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) where she had the chance to work along with scientists at other research centers like the National Microelectronics Centre (CNM-IMB) and the Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ICN2), which are in the UAB campus area. She moved to Switzerland to start and complete her master's degree in Material Science at Lausanne's Federal Politechnic School (EPFL), thanks to which she also had the chance to work at the National Institute of Material Sciences (NIMS) in Tsukuba, Japan. She is currently researching on environmentaly friendly cements during her PhD, working with both the material sciences aspect of cement production and the chemistry aspect of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR).
She also has a career in science communication since she started her YouTube channel (SizeMatters) in which she talks about nanotechnology for a wide audience (in Spain, mostly).
