Ms. Anna Chiara Impastato

Anna Impastato is 4^th year Ph.D. student at New York University studying Chemical Biology under the direction of Prof. Dirk Trauner. In 2015, Anna received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Chemistry from Boston University. She is an alumna of the AstraZeneca Graduate Program, where she spent two years in the pharmaceutical industry identifying potential targets and designing small molecules for cancer therapies. Her current research is focused on developing compounds that can be used as tools to "switch" cancer off with light.
