Ankit Kumar Gautam
Graduate Student, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign
Ankit is a graduate student working with Prof Alex Mironenko in the department of chemical and biomolecular engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. His research interest includes the development and application of multiscale modeling methods for renewable energy uses. He obtained his master's degree from Carnegie Mellon University where he worked with Prof John Kitchin on modeling surface segregation of CuAgAu ternary alloy. He obtained his undergraduate in chemical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, India under the supervision of Prof Abhijit Chatterjee where he engaged in the synthesis of bimetallic nanoparticles and computational methods for studying metal adatom diffusion. He is open to collaborating on projects related to the development and design of catalysts for sustainable energy and method development for accurate models including machine learning methods.
