Dr. Oyewole is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry and holds degrees in Chemistry and Environmental Toxicology. She co-advises the Chemistry Club, an organization designed to mentor undergraduate and graduate students passionate about the chemical sciences. She holds professional memberships with the American Chemical Society, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the National Organization for the Professional Advancement of Black Chemists & Chemical Engineers, the Sigma Xi Scientific Honor Society, and the Society of Environmental Chemistry and Toxicology. Dr. Oyewole also coordinates the Green Chemistry Commitment program for the Department of Chemistry and Physics. Her research interests include the development of environmental policies governing hazardous waste management in the Home Healthcare industry, trace metal mixture analysis, and green methods for wastewater remediation with agricultural waste, and PVAMU green chemistry education curriculum design.
