Dr Andrea Olmos

Ramon y Cajal Researcher, Universidad de Valencia

AO obtained ser PhD degree in 2009 at the University of Valencia under the supervision of Gregorio Asensio and M. Elena González Núñez in the field of continuous flow oxidations in supercritical carbon dioxide. She made a post-doctoral stay, 2009-2011, at the University of Strasbourg with Patrick Pale developing metal-doped zeolites catalysts.

In 2012, she joined Pedro J. Pérez's group at University of Huelva first as Juan de la Cierva Researcher and later as PI of a Young Researcher Project. During this period, she focused on the development of new catalysts for the functionalization of non-activated alkanes under conventional and supercritical media.

Since 2019, she has independtly stablished at the University of Valencia as a Ramon y Cajal senior researcher. Her interests are centered in the development of new catalytic methods for the synthesis of highly functionalized molecules and in the design of first-row transition metal-based catalysts for the activation of inert bonds.
