Dr Amelie Stein
Assistant Professor, University of Copenhagen
Dr. Stein's research interests center on proteins, and how changes in their sequence ripple through the structure, interaction network, and ultimately cell and organism. Her group uses both computational modelling and experimental approaches, developing hybrid models that integrate multiple types of data to gain insight into variant consequences and mechanism. Dr. Stein is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. She is also a Lundbeck Foundation Fellow (2018) and co-PI in the PRISM (Protein Interactions and Stability in Medicine and Genomics) centre funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation. Dr. Stein holds a diploma in Computer Science (Bioinformatics) from the University of Tübingen, Germany, and a PhD in Biomedicine from the Institute for Research in Biomedicine and the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona, Spain.
