Dr. Alexander Jules Bourque
Research Specialist, 3M
Alex Bourque is a Research Specialist in the Corporate Research Analytical Lab (CRAL) at 3M. He completed his BS in Chemical Engineering at Lehigh University before attending MIT to pursue his graduate studies. He obtained a Masters in Chemical Engineering Practice in 2014 and his PhD in Chemical Engineering in 2017 (supervised by Professor Greg Rutledge). Alex subsequently joined NIST as an NRC Postdoctoral Research Associate as part of the Polymers Processing group. He joined 3M in 2019 and has since been providing research and development support in the areas of thermal analysis and polymer materials characterization. Alex is a leader and champion of multiple data science & automation initiatives in the corporate labs at 3M.
