Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Butler University interested in developing inclusive curricula, teaching scientific writing and other professional skills in my courses, and engaging undergraduate students in the classroom and the chemistry laboratory. My chemical education research focuses on studying students' perceived attitudes and gains from engaging in a variety of active learning activities, from writing-enhanced labs to information literacy-focused research projects. My laboratory research is focused on the synthesis of BIPHEP-type ligands and their metal complexes for use in acceptorless dehydrogenation catalysis.
